Cottam Brush nominated for Made Smarter Adoption Award

We are pleased to announce that Cottam Brush have been shortlisted for an award at the inaugural Made Smarter Adoption Awards in the ‘North East LEP Area’ category.

The Made Smarter Adoption Awards recognise businesses across the North East Local Enterprise Partnership and Tees Valley Combined Authority areas that have shown excellence in their adoption and championing of smart/digital technology within the manufacturing sector.

Sue Stewart, Sales Manager at Cottam Brush said “As a business that’s been running since 1858, we are constantly evolving. We like to partner with other businesses to exchange knowledge and discover new ways of working to improve efficiency.

As a result of taking part in Made Smarter Adoption, we were able to meet experts at the Sustainable Advanced Manufacturing (SAM) project and tap into their extensive knowledge. Since then, we have invested in a new machine and are exploring new ways of manufacturing our brushes to offer extra options to our customers.

“We look forward to attending the awards and meeting other manufacturing businesses from the region. We’ve got our fingers crossed, but also wish good luck to the other nominees.”
