Scratch prevention is a constant challenge in sheet metal fabrication and material handling environments. Many manufacturers use plastic sheets, carpet, foam, or even cardboard on machine tables in an attempt to reduce metal-to-metal contact during processing – while these methods can work in ideal conditions, real production environments are far from perfect.
Metal chips, dust, and burrs are unavoidable in fabrication. Once debris becomes embedded in plastic or trapped in carpet or foam, it effectively turns the surface into sandpaper. Removing metal chips from solid surfaces can be difficult, and carpet fibres are particularly known for holding onto sharp particles. Burrs on the underside of cut parts can also catch and drag across these materials, increasing the risk of scratches and surface damage.

TURRET BRUSH PANELS
Any shape or size, trimmed to any length. Produced with a bases of HDPE, Solid Aluminum, Nylon and aluminum composite. Bristles are typically 0.2mm nylon. Custom nylon bristle material may include thicker nylon, flame retardant nylon, brass, or Phosphoric bronze for non-spark environments. Countersunk holes can be added for retrofitting.
PRESS BRAKE SUPPORT
Any shape or size with countersunk holes for fitting. HDPE or nylon base with 0.2mm nylon bristles, trimmed to any length.
TURRET BUTTON BRUSH REPLACEMENT
32mm Plastic base with 0.4mm Nylon bristle tufts to fit Salvagnini machines.

Standard 500mm x 100mm Brush Tiles
Our Standard Options
- Staggered standard pattern – load bearing weight 35kg per square metre
- Linear (straight) standard pattern – load bearing weight 35kg per square metre
- Linear (straight) dense fill pattern – load bearing weight of up to 120kg per square metre
Each tile is produced with black HDPE Board with 0.3mm diameter black nylon bristle trimmed to 20mm on dense fill and 12mm on standard patterns.
Custom options are available as follows:
- Any base board type – Brass, Aluminium, HDPE, aluminium composite or UHMW
- Any brush fill pattern – Staggered, Linear, Angled or Dense (compact) depending on the load bearing weight required.
- Any brush filament – Black or white Nylon, Brass, or Flame-Resistant Nylon or Polypropylene.
- Any bristle trim length depending on your application.
