Die Pocket Brushes – Orbit

When your old supplier stops making that essential piece of kit that your business relies on, it can be a real struggle to find a replacement that ticks all the right boxes. This was the challenge that Orbit faced when their previous supplier stopped making a particular type of die pocket brush that was an integral part of their operation.

The real issue that Orbit faced wasn’t just finding a die pocket brush that was a direct like-for-like replacement, but one they felt was an improvement on the quality and design of the old version, and that would make sure their customers were happy, too.

“We knew we’d have to work closely with Orbit to create a design that they were satisfied with, and worked with their existing machinery,” explains Cottam consultant Nigel Hutchinson. “It also had to be at the right price-point, too, which in today’s increasingly competitive marketplace is a primary consideration for every customer.”

The result was a range of brushes developed exclusively for Orbit by Cottam, with a selection of trim lengths that meant they could deliver a better service to their customers. To date, Orbit are one of Cottam’s many repeat customers, and have reported no loss of custom since they changed to the newly-developed, bespoke Cottam die pocket brushes.

One of Orbit’s customers was so impressed, they let Orbit know just how good the brushes were, and why buying quality is always preferable over buying ‘cheap’: “We found the Die Pocket Brushes an excellent and efficient method of cleaning our Die Pockets. We have tried several other types of brushes and although these are quite expensive compared to other types of brushes, pound for pound they are far better than the cheap types and definitely worth paying the extra few pounds.”
