As winter arrives and the festive season begins, we’ve been reflecting on the year behind us while looking ahead with excitement to 2026.
Celebrating Milestones
This year, Dave and John celebrated their 60th birthdays together, a fantastic milestone and one we’re incredibly proud to share with them.
Their experience, dedication, humour, and hard work have played a huge role in shaping both our team and our business. Our MD, Alan, marked the occasion with gifts, and of course, plenty of cake was enjoyed by all.
Welcoming New Faces
As part of our growth plans, we’re delighted to welcome:
– Michael Kelly – Digital Transformation Manager
– Hayden Powell – Industrial Brush Designer
Some of you may remember Hayden, who originally joined us earlier in the year as a design placement and has now returned after graduating.
Michael will be focusing on automating processes and helping us get the most from our ERP system, reducing non-value-added administration and improving operational efficiency.

New Machine – Coming Soon
We’re on countdown for the arrival of a new machine, and we’re excited about the opportunities this investment will bring.
This will allow us to manufacture:
– 2m table brush panels
– 2m rollers
– And much more…

New Products at Cottam
We’ve recently launched BrushWrap, designed for larger industrial rollers. Using a technique called kerf cutting, BrushWrap allows flat, linear brushes to be transformed into beautifully curved, functional brush surfaces.
Earlier in the year, we also launched our Spreader Rollers, which have already proven very popular. They help eliminate creasing in materials such as film, tissue, paper, and textiles.
