Getting to know..... Paul Bradbury

What do you do at Cottam?

My role as Marketing and Project Manager involves firstly the planning, delivery and management of marketing activities and projects across the business divisions with the aim of raising the company profile and generating relevant sales leads and enquiries.

Secondly I am responsible for the management of enquiries for "sourced" product from enquiry through to delivery including liaising with the team in our China subsidiary. The process involves quotation, proposal, negotiation and the management of customer expectations.

What are you most proud of?

I am very proud to now be part of Cottam, and I feel I have joined a company who has a strong heritage, a well informed and close team and is moving forward and targeting strong growth in today’s competitive market.

Outside of work I am very proud of the way my son who had 2 heart operations in his first 3 months has blossomed at school and is heavily involved in many after school clubs including tennis, swimming, choir and dancing as well as the way he knows all the lyrics to my favourite songs!

Who or what inspires you?

I am inspired by my friends and family, as well as people who have become recognised innovators / game changers in their chosen sector whether that is business, music or sport.

What do you do when you’re not working?

As you can see I have a very active 8 year old son who has me playing football, tennis and swimming whenever possible!  As a family we also enjoy walking and I like finding a country pub at the end of it!

What is your favourite Cottam product – and why?

I don’t have a particular one as yet but I am impressed by the vast amount of brush products we have available, their variety of uses and the endless opportunities there are for marketing them!

I became aware of your company through Linkedin and was impressed by the production of cow brushes.
Allow me to introduce myself as a correspondent for the American “brushware magazine”. It is published internationally for your industry and offers an interesting platform for communication. And if you visit the “Interbrush” fair in Freiburg, Germany, May 2020, it would be a good opportunity to meet the publisher Dylan Goodwin personally. I am sure that very positive synergies would result and I would be very pleased about your interest. With kind regards, Katharina Goldbeck-Hörz
